Will washing my area rug in a washing machine kill the fleas in it

l am going to spray my apartment with flea killer (good legit flea killer), 
Punkin
and my cat frequents the bathroom floor rug. Can l just wash that or do l

If you spray be sure it contains an igr (insect growth

regulator). An thing else is a waste of money.

Washing is better. Using hot water & plenty of bleach if you  
snookums
can is the best way. Sprinkling salt on the carpeting & leaving for a day

or two helps kill fleas also by drying them out.

all these are good,but another thing you can do is take the

rug and put it in a garbage bag and seal it very tightly and put it out in

i don't know about that but to kill fleas you need to start at

First vacuum your rugs real good to get as many of the eggs

out. Then machine wash your rugs in hot, soapy water to remove fleas. Pet

yes but if you want to save money on water just put it in the

dryer. it burns the fleas.
