Hi, A proper rug pad should prevent this. They are made to go

less expensive rug pads available. A rug pad not only extends the life of

The mats that are used under rugs will make them non slip &

make the rugs safe to use. They come in many sizes & can be cut (with

They re washable so when they lose their ''tackiness'' you wash them &
it comes back.
The mats are available for rugs over carpet, wood & for hard surfaces,
so get the right kind.
Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar. GL

Rugs on smooth floors are a serious safety hazard, I would
Dickens
advise against using them at all. There is loads of people seriously

injured every year due to them stepping on a rug only to have it slip from

under them.

If you must have them, I would suggest that you glue something
rubber-based on the base of the mat. Possibly a silly idea, but what
about some ''stick on'' replacement soles for shoes? They're rubber, and
they even come with the glue!

Go to you local hardware/home improvement store and pick up
Mo-mo-jo-jo
some of the rubber backing. They sell it in rolls by itself. Cut it to

shape to fit your rug. It may be in the shelving area, because they also

sell it to keep dishes and things from sliding off shelves.

Double-sided carpet tape also works, but it can kill your wood floor.
